STEAM Fest 2019 8/31/19

Another first-time event, held at the best possible location for a Steampunk show - SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA. This is the site of the old Bethlehem Steel plant, which is now home to (among other things) the National Museum of Industrial History, the ArtsQuest organization, and the SteelStacks visitor center. Five blast furnaces from the original plant have been preserved, and formed an amazing backdrop for the event.
The scope of the event was impressive. There were vendors and performances inside and out (we were inside), plus plenty of food. Willow had her photo taken many times, and the Critters made quite an impression. Since this was a STEM event, there were a lot of kids, and we sold quite a few wood model kits and building block sets.
Although we were busy all day, since we had a minion (a rarity for us) we were able to take some time to speak with some of the other vendors we're friends with, including Silverwolf Leather, Dodson Designs, Roguish Rabbit, and Doctor Gus Designs.
We'd love to see other types of Steampunk events held at this venue, but at the very least we hope they continue this one; we'd be happy to come back next year.
