Brigid's Lamb
Honor Imbolc, the time of renewal and preparation for spring, with Brigid's Lamb.
Seeds are stirring in the still-frozen ground, hibernating animals are awakening from slumber, and sheep are giving birth. The word Imbolc is derived from the Gaelic “oimelc” which means “ewe’s milk."
The lamb displays a sun on her forehead, symbolizing this festival of fire, and a Triskelion on her side, representing the Celtic interpretation of the three realms of material existence: earth, water, and sky.
